Fragments – Solo Exhibition

I am really excited and extremely privileged to be showing a collection of new work at Ink’d gallery from the 6th September – 6th October 2012.

I have shown work with Dan and the team at Ink-d since early 2011, and am thrilled to have the opportunity to show this new collection of originals, miniatures, and a set of new prints., both self published and through Harwood King Fine Arts, who I have been working with on producing an edition of the Triptych created in November last year.

Ink’d have a great approach to showing artwork, the gallery is always busy with a range of dynamic fresh and exciting artwork and they have hosted exhibitions from emerging and established artists including Dan Baldwin, Sir Peter Blake, Eine, Carrie Reichardt, Andrew McAttee, Jake Wood Evans, Ian Hodgson and Zachary Walsh.

If you would like to put your name down for the guest list and attend the Private view on the 6th September – please email gallery@ink-d.co.uk
Here’s some images of the prints to be launched in September…

Detail from Mortal with screen printed  iridescent gold, green and copper leaf alongside varnish layers .

Varnish layers and silver leaf catching the light on the print ‘Eleven’, blocked in areas have been scratched back to reveal detail..

iridescent inks are translucent allowing the detail to show through but as they catch the light reveal the overdrawing in green.

Ink_d Gallery Brighton

Great trip down to the south Coast today to see Dan @Ink_d gallery – they are between shows at the moment and preparing for UK renegade potter and leading anarchist Carrie Reichardt representing the Great British Empire as ‘Cruel Britannia’ through her unique anarchic vision.  Still the gallery looks great even in its interim period and well worth a visit for the range of artwork on display.  I had made the trip to talk through some of the newest pieces I had produced and left a couple there with them.. Not sure when they will surface in the gallery but I love what they do there and the range of other artists they represent. I was also signing the piece ‘protection’ which had recently sold and leaving some small postcard pieces – little curio’s which based around ink spills. . . .
