Unwrapped – Factory Project – Multiplied

This Thursday sees the private view for 3 exhibitions I have been lucky enough to be involved with.

I was invited by Jewel of West london Art Factory to submit 4 works for their show at the Hospital Club – so 4 brand new original pieces – not exhibited before will be showing from the 13th October, looking forward to seeing the range of works on offer, if you want to get over to see them it’s an open invite and free to see, just turn up between 11am and 4pm on the 13th or 11am – 7pm on the 14th-16th October

Multiplied Contemporary Editions, with Eyestorm Gallery showing the print of Rose – produced by Harwood King

“Christie’s is delighted to announce Multiplied – an exciting new fair in the field of contemporary art. The fair will be held during the week of the Frieze Art Fair, 15-18th October, providing a platform to promote emerging talent in two and three-dimensional contemporary editions. Christie’s has invited over thirty of the most exciting galleries to showcase a selection of the most challenging, cutting-edge work being produced today. Exhibiting a wide range of publishers under one roof, Christie’s aim to help them promote their businesses and the artistic talent that they support.”

And last but by no means least… Unwrapped

I have 3 new pieces in Leytonstone’s newest  gallery The Stone Space.  The first exhibition in the space presents the work of 10 contemporary artists in reponse to the theme Unwrapped.
The private View runs from 7-9:30pm this Thursday – more info here

These are new works, influenced by william Morris wallpaper designs that peel back the gallery walls to reveal the undergrowth that was once in its place.
example shown below is called Undergrowth (Unwrapped)

Meanwhile I am busy in the studio preparing for a solo show coming in November at Gallery 90, more details to follow shortly, and tomorrow I will be dropping 6 new framed pieces of work with Eyestorm for the Hampstead Affordable Art Fair.

Looking to October

Started working on some new pieces for shows coming up in October and now planning a solo show which is pencilled in for the 12th of November, here’s some details of what is coming up

Great to be invited to show 3 new pieces of work for the new show Factory Project which opens on the 13th October, curated by Jewel goodby the show pulls together some of the finest names on the street art scene some of which I was lucky to show with at the red bull studios project earlier this year – it looks like it’s gonna be a top show and will feature artwork and live paints from artists including Inkie – Fin Dac – Zeus – Max Wiedemann – George Morton Clark – Ben Slow – Cosmo Sarson – Danny O’Connor – Milo – Joanna Scislowicz – Belinda Frikh – Laura Tinald – Warren Fox – and the good lady herself – Jewel

Been working on a few ideas for the show and I’m gonna throw some fresh approaches and experimental pieces in there along with a recently finished piece from the studio called devoured.. Getting inspiration from other artists in the Studio @ Norlington Road too – so I doth my cap to Fashion Photographer Arta Kane and painter Paul Cummings  and all those craftsman around whose skills range from stained glass specialists to makers of theatrical animatronics Jonathan & Jeremy.

Here’s the latest piece from the studio which will be making its way to The Hospital Club this month..

Finally I will have some new work as part of the opening show at Leytonstone’s Stone Space.  The show – entitled ‘Unwrapped’ is a curated collection of work from local and guest artists responding to the theme unwrapped and features installation, paste-up work, drawings, paintings, model making and sculpture all within an intimate new gallery space just 5 mins from Leytonstone tube… The exhibition opens this Saturday 1st October plus The Stone Space is celebrating the Launch with a private view on the 13th October. Hope you can make it down – back to the studio for me… & some research for a new body of work…

finally a little shout to inkd gallery  in Brighton – you guys really do rock!
